Omni Waste Oil Heaters: Heat Exchanger Fans

Omni waste oil heaters we offer have tuned axial fans and the large vent area design which means the highest hot air output, most air CFMs and speediest recovery times in the industry. This results in less of everything:

• less fuel (waste oil) burnt,
• less electricity used due to a shorter runtime,
• less wear and tear on the equipment.

Omni waste (used) oil heaters incorporate high volume pressure style fans with a unique method of throwing air across their heat exchanger. Used in lieu of typical free air fans for area heating or squirrel cage blowers for ducting heat to various rooms this type fan makes installation easier, electrical and shipping costs lower. Pressure fans, also called condenser fans, have a square tip blade versus round tip blade of free air fans used for space heating. It allows to creates more air flow through any restricted areas (ducts) in place of a more cumbersome, significantly increasing shipping weight squirrel cage blower.

Besides all these advantages the ability to position the heaters centrally to provide better heat distribution was incorporated to their design. Positioning high volume pressure style fans on opposing sides of the heat exchanger asymmetrically (available on 350 and 500 models) allowed to provide our customers with bi-directional heat throw capability.

Long combustion chamber of the Omni waste (used) oil heaters we offer along with oil flow control capabilities eliminates the need for a target plate. For other heater makes target is directly exposed to the flame. Extreme temperature changes destroy the target plate which makes it a subject of periodic replacement – for Omni heaters it is not an issue all together. Heat exchanger of the waste oil heaters we sell has a very long path for the hot gases (the result of waste oil burning) allowing to extract as much heat as possible which makes the heaters very efficient (up to 90 %).

Stainless steel heat exchanger is standard for Omni waste oil furnaces. Stainless steel is the longest lasting, most durable material available for high temperature applications. Others use lower cost materials trying to compensate inferior steel by thicker walls of combustion chamber. The heat exchangers of waste oil heaters we offer consist of formed 304L 16 Ga stainless steel plates with double rolled pressed seams. The pressed seam construction eliminates the possibility of stress cracks that can occur from welding.

Swing out burner doors of the heaters mean no fuel or air lines to disconnect. Removing just two nuts and electrical safety plug allows easy access to business end of the burner and its nozzle for speedy service. All waste (used) oil heater model can be either ceiling hung or mounted in any direction on available workbench oil storage tank stand. The OWH-500 heater must be mounted on 350 gallong tank or larger. Shown, is a complete waste oil burning heating system with the stand and 250 gallon tank. Other available tank sizes are 350 and 500 gallons. The tanks are available with UL or non-UL, double or single wall.
